The High Court on Tuesday ordered issue of notices on all political parties on the allotment of government lands to them.
The High Court acted on a petition filed before it alleging that prime land worth crores of rupees was allotted to the Congress party in PSR Nellore district for a paltry Rs 4.5 lakh. Perusing the petition, the court ordered issue of notices to all the political parties and also directed the government to file a counter.
The court asked the government to submit explanation how the land allotments were done, how much land was allotted to each political party for how much and so on. Principal Secretary (Revenue) Meena was also present in the court. (NSS)
