Hyderabad, December 14: Justice Raja Elango of the AP High Court, while hearing a plea of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday, ordered notice to accused Bharat Bhai in prison and directed the matter to be listed again on Wednesday.
NIA moved the High Court questioning an order of a lower court, which rejected an application for custody of the accused, who is lodged in a Jaipur jail facing trial in the Ajmer bomb blast case and is now also named an accused in the Mecca Masjid bomb blast case.
His earlier petition questioning the order of the court in remanding him to police custody was set aside by the High Court on technical grounds. The renewed petition by the NIA was rejected by the Metropolitan Sessions Judge last Friday.
