The Hyderabad Court on Monday directed the Telangana Government to file its counter with regard to appointment of Special Advisors.
Congress MP from Nalgonda G. Sukhender Reddy had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the appointment of Special Advisors. Describing them as illegal, he requested the High Court to cancel those appointments. During the hearing, Advocate General informed the court that the government has appointed 14 Special Advisors. However, he clarified that they were not accorded the status of Cabinet Minister, but were only given similar facilities and privileges.
The next hearing in this case has been adjourned to next week. (INN)
