Pronouncing verdict on the writ filed by Mr. Syed Taqiuddin against Minority department and special officer Hajj Committee, the Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Nagarjuna Reddy annulled the orders of government of Andhra Pradesh by which it had appointed the special officer for Hajj committee.
The petitioner in his writ claimed that the term of Hajj Committee expired on August 14, 2013 and it is obligatory for the government to announce new committee as per section 22(1) of Committee act instead of that appointment of special officer is illegal.
The honourable judge after hearing the arguments of both the parties strictly directed to announce new Hajj committee within one month.
