The Hyderabad High Court today directed that the results of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections be announced. The High Court dismissed a petition filed by former India Cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin challenging the HCA elections.
It may be recalled that the nomination of Azharuddin was rejected stating that he was not a member of the HCA and he was facing life ban. The remaining two — government advisor Dr Vivek and former cricketer Jayasimha were in the fray. The secretary election was completed unanimously as Shesh Narayan was elected for it. The results may be announced any time after completing the counting process. The elections were held on January 17, 2017. (NSS)
