Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday cleared the way for recruitment of pending Group-II posts in the State. The Court has given a go-ahead to Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to fill 1,032 Group-II posts. The written examinations for Group-II were held in November 2016.
The HC, however, asked the TSPSC to consider the candidatures of 343 candidates, who have written bubble and used whiteners in the written test in the final selections. It also asked the commission to check conduct certificate verification for all the 343 candidates and said the commission can continue the selection process by following recommendations of the technical committee formed for the purpose.
The orders of the HC has provided the much needed relief to the TSPSC as it faced a lot of criticism on the recruitment of the Group-II posts. Some five lakh aspirants appeared for the exams. The commission had selected 3,147 candidates for the certificate verification process. It has already completed the verification process.
