HC censure, a slap on TRS govt’s face: Dr Laxman

Reacting to the judgment of the Hyderabad High Court which rejected the appointments of seven Vice-Chancellors, BJP Telangana State president Dr K Laxman today said the judgment is a slap on the face of the TRS government.

The observation of the High Court that what was the necessity in appointment of VC’s through a G O without waiting for a day or two when matter was about to come up in the court, the BJP chief said it seems the KCR government has no respect to the court of law. It should have waited till the judgment comes when it was holding the matter for over two and half year, he quipped.

It was not first time that the High Court has expressed its displeasure on the action of the State government. Even in earlier occasions, including during GHMC elections, the High Court has expressed its unhappiness on its action, he reminded.

The negligence of the state government has made education system so bad  and such situation has arise that the state may loose UGC grant for universities, Laxman said adding that there were schools without teachers. He described that free education from KG to PG is become a mere slogan of the government and he held the government responsible for leakage of EAMCET paper. (NSS)
