The Hyderabad High Court today directed the Election Commission to give a clarification on removal of votes under GHMC purview by December 10.
Admitting a petition complaining that some 6.30 lakh votes were removed without prior intimation, the court asked the EC to submit details. The EC explained to the court about the inspections they conducted to find out whether voters were staying at the residences or shifted to other places. The EC also informed the court that they have yet to get a report from the State Election Commission. With this, the high court adjourned the case to December 15. (NSS)
