Calcutta High Court today granted permission to use microphones during IPL matches at the Eden Gardens, the home ground of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). A Bench comprising Justice Pratap Roy and Justice Dipankar Dutta uissued the ruling on a petition filed by KKR. The Bench issuing the order, directed the state government to file an affidavit in six weeks explaining why the state government had impose a ban on using microphone during matches at the Eden Gardens. The court, however, held that the sound of microphone must be within 90 decibel. The matter will come up for further hearing after ten week. The Shah Rukh Khan owned city-based franchies will play their first match of IPL-V against Delhi Daredevils on April 5. UNI
