HC adjourns Vijay Sai’s bail cancellation petition hearing to May 9

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing to May 9 on a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation seeking cancellation of bail granted to Jagati Publications vice chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy.

The CBI counsel in its petition challenged the sanctioning of bail to Vijay Sai Reddy and observed that it would affect the pace of investigation into the case and he might tamper with evidence. The court, after hearing the arguments of Vijay Sai Reddy’s counsel, posted the next hearing to May 9.

Earlier, the CBI Second Additional Special Court granted conditional bail to Vijay Sai Reddy following the High Court’s instructions to review its earlier bail orders.

Meanwhile, the CBI Special Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to May 28. (INN)
