HC adjourns hearing on Vijay Sai’s bail cancellation petition to April 19

The Andhra High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing to April 19 on a petition filed by the CBI seeking cancellation of bail granted by Special CBI Court to Jagati Publications vice-chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy in the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The High Court, while posting the petition to April 19, directed Vijay Sai Reddy’s counsel to file the counter petition explaining why his client’s bail should not be cancelled. On Vijay Sai’s counsel request seeking time to file the counter petition, the court adjourned the next hearing on case to Thursday.

According to sources, Supreme Court advocate Sushil Kumar would argue on behalf of Vijay Sai Reddy in the High Court on Thursday.

It may be mentioned that on earlier occasion, the court has asked the CBI as to why it was not showing interest in arresting 17 other accused against whom the agency has already filed the charge sheet. (INN)
