H’bad metro: Cos for extension of deadline for bids submission

Hyderabad, August 23: Major companies that have evinced interest in the Rs 12,200 crore Hyderabad Metro Rail Project have requested the Andhra Pradesh
government to extend the deadline for submission of bids by 45 days in view of certain difficulties.

Representatives of Reliance Infrastructure (ADAG), Lanco Infratech (Gurgaon), Essar Group (Mumbai), GVK Group (Hyderabad), L&T (Mumbai), DB Group (Mumbai), India Bulls Group (Mumbai) and VNR Infrastructure (Hyderabad) took part in a pre-application conference for pre-qualification of bidders here today.

They sought clarifications on issues like joint and several liability of the consortium members and conflict of interest with reference to associate companies, according to a press release from the Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation.

Some of the companies requested for inclusion of steel and oil refineries in the core sector definition for technical qualification.
