Hyderabad: Makkah Masjid was insufficient to accommodate the devotees of Hazrath Abdullah Quraishi who had assembled to offer his funeral prayer. His brother, Maulana Abdul Aleem Quraishi, Imam of Jamia Masjid Chowk led the funeral prayer. Mufti Azeemuddin prayed for him.
Police had made elaborate arrangements for diverting the traffic. Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin, Maulana Khaleel Ahmed and others attended the funeral prayer.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. M. Mahendra Reddy and other police officials saw the dead body of Maulana Abdullah Quraishi and paid tribute. His dead body was taken to Jamia Nizamia and was kept for some time. He was holding the post of Dy. Vice Chancellor of this institution for a longer time. His dead body was laid to rest at Nakshbandi Chaman.
