Johannesburg, Sept.23 : Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is hoping to regain his form for the upcoming home series against New Zealand and West Indies.
Hazlewood has been rested along with pace spearhead Mitchell Johnson for the next month’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh following an arduous summer season, which saw Australia suffer a 2-3 Ashes defeat against England .
The 24-year-old said that he played quite well in the first two Tests, but lacked consistency in the swinging conditions in the other two matches.
Hazlewood would re-start his training and warm up in the domestic One-Day Cup tournament in a bid to recharge for the home series against New Zealand.
The right-hand bowler believes that the Australian wickets are going to be a bit flatter, adding that they have to be patient and wait for wickets, Sport24 reported.
Hazlewood played an instrumental role in Australia’s 2-0 win over India and successful Caribbean tour in June.
Australia will play their two Tests against Bangladesh in Chittagong and Dhaka from October 9 and October 17 respectively. (ANI)
