On credible Information North Zone Task Force Team busted Hawala Money racket, apprehended two accused Syed Barkathulla Basha (30) a Unani Medicine practice at Pulse clinic Bandlaguda & Hyderabad City Secretary PFI ( Popular front of India) Hyderabad R/o. Aman Nagar-A, Talabkatta, Yakutpura of Hyderabad and Balvanthsingh Purohit @ Suresh (32) a Bangles businessman R/o. near Bademiya Petrol Pump, Ashok Bazar of Begum Bazar, Hyderabad who were involved in Hawala racket . The amount taken through Hawala to Nandyal and Kurnool , for the puris meant for election expenses to SDPI (Social Democratic party of India) contesting candidates in Nandyala, Kurnool and Nellore. Seized Hawala amount of Rs. 6,00,000 ( Six lakhs ), one Ten rupees note with number 28R 258328 which is used as token number for hawala transaction and two cell phones from their possession which were used in the commission of offence.
On credible information on May 7, 2014 at 1745 hours North Zone Task Force Team Hyderabad busted Hawala money racket at Durga Bangle store, situated at Cellar, Bannaji Market of Begum Bazar and apprehended two accused namely (A1) Syed Barkathulla Basha (A2) Balvanth Singh Purohit @ Suresh. The accused Syed Barkathulla Basha is a City Secretary of PFI ( Popular Front of India), Hyderabad and started active participation in this organization activities and also participated in Protest programmee against UAPA (Unlawful activities prevention act ) in Feb-2014 on behalf of PFI ( Popular Front of India). In Andhra Pradesh their organization political wing SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) contesting from Kurnool MLA ( Abdul Waris ) & MP( Noor Ahmed Madani), Nandyal MLA ( D.S.Habeebullah ) and Nellore MLA(AbdurRehaman ). On May 5, 2014 one Arif Ahmed , General Secretary of Popular Front of India, A.P. informed Syed BarkathullaBasha that their Delhi control office is sending six lakhs of amount through hawala channel to meet the Election expanses for their candidates etc, and asked him to collect the amount of Rs. 6,00,000 through one of hawalaagent BalvanthsinghPurohit @ Suresh and to forward to Kurnool as Election is on 07-05-2014. The said accused Syed Barkathulla Basha went to House Cellar Bannaji Market of Begum Bazar and met the hawala agent BalvathsinghPurohit @ Suresh and showed the token of ten rupees note with the number 28R 258328 and the agent BalvathsinghPurohit @ Suresh delivered the amount of Rs.6,00,000 ( Six lakhs ), meanwhile the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone apprehended the accused persons and seized Hawalaamount of Rs. 6,00,000 one Ten rupees note with number 28R 258328 which is used as token number for hawala transaction and two cell phones from their possession.
The arrested accused person along with seized property were handed over to Afzalgunj Police Station for necessary action.
