The youth of Gulshan colony left no stone unturned to restore the ancient historical Qutub Shahi masjid located at the back side of Qutub Shahi Tombs commonly known as Seven Tombs. The masjid abutting the boundary wall of Qutub Shahi Toms has been named as Masjid Noor by the residents of Gulshan Colony.
The masjid was uninhabited since long. The state Archaeological Department was quite apathetic towards its restoration. The masjid was one among the 110 uninhabited mosques which were brought to light by Siasat daily.
If Muslims seriously make effort to restore uninhabited masajid they can surely restore many of the 110 uninhabited masajid but sadly at some places Muslims themselves are main obstacles in restoration of masajid. According to youth of Gulshan colony when the gate of Masjid Noor was being installed a resident who claims to be a Muslim objected for that. He even complained Department of Archaeology that a pathway is being made in front of his house.
