New Delhi: Out of the 16 ex-personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) convicted by the Court, 10 have surrendered so far. The Delhi High Court in October awarded life imprisonment to 16 former PAC personnel for killing around 42 people of a minority community during a riot in Hashimpura district in Uttar Pradesh.
While 4 convicts had surrendered before the court on November 22, 5 more convicts surrendered before Tis Hazari court on Tuesday, November 27 while 1 surrendered on November 28.
The court had issued a non-bailable warrant against those who had failed to surrender.
