Mumbai, March 17:Pune stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan, accused of stashing away huge amount of blackmoney in banks abroad, is likely to surrender before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here after the Supreme Court remanded him to the custody of the agency, sources said.
Khan’s counsel Ishwari Prasad Bagadia is “bringing” him to surrender before the agency, sources said.
The ED has not yet taken custody of the stud farm owner after the Supreme Court remanded Khan in the custody of the ED for four days.
The SC pulled up the trial court judge who had granted bail to Khan dismissing the agency’s plea for his remand in a money laundering case.
Bagadia said Ali was not “absconding” and would “abide by the law”.
