Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan was not only the head of the group but also a millionaire, a report by Haryana Government revealed.
According to the report submitted by Khattar government to the Haryana and Punjab High Court, the value of Dera Sacha Sauda’s properties in Sirsa is Rs. 1,453 crore, India Today reports.
The report also revealed that the value of the property owned by Dera across the state is around Rs 1,600 crore.

However, the actual value of the properties could be much higher as the estimation was done based on Haryana’s collector rates.
It may be noted that earlier, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had indicated that the Dera Sacha Sauda could be made to pay for the losses incurred during the violence which broke out after the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Minutes after his conviction, his followers who had gathered in thousands over past few days in Panchkula, unleashed mayhem. 36 people died and over 250 were injured in the violence which broke out at Panchkula and Sirsa
This order was passed after a Panchkula resident had filed a PIL in the court raising law and order concerns.
