Chandigarh, October 26: Haryana Assembly will meet here on Wednesday after which the newly elected Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would have to prove his majority on the floor of the House.
With the Congress staking its claim for the formation of government with the “unconditional” support of seven Independents, as it failed to get a majority on its own falling short by six seats, Governor Jagannath Pahadia had yesterday directed Hooda to prove his majority by October 31.
The assembly will meet on Wednesday morning, when the newly elected members would be administered oath by pro-tem Speaker Ajay Yadav of the Congress a six times MLA, secretary of the Assembly Sumit Kumar today said.
Pahadia administered the oath as an MLA to Yadav and also appointed him the pro-tem Speaker here this evening at a brief function in the Raj Bhawan
