The Streetfighter will be launched in 2020.
Harley Davidson has surprised the motorcycling world today by announcing a massive product onslaught strategy which will be put into action over the next few years. The cruiser specialist is all set to foray into almost all major two wheeler segments across the world including sportsbikes with varying displacements, adventure tourers, electric motorcycles and even quarter litre offerings with primary focus on India and other emerging markets!
A 1250 Custom, a 975 cc Streetfighter are also scheduled for 2020. The company has also confirmed that more variants in this displacement segment will be introduced by 2022.
The HD 975 Streetfighter features an aggressive styling with the massive V-Twin engine taking the center stage. Salient design features include a circular headlamp with a minimal fairing, unique fuel tank cladding, two-piece seats, cantilevered tailpiece and a truncated exhaust canister. The motorcycle is sure to command respect on the road.
The Harley Davidson Streetfighter 975 will lock horns with the likes of Yamaha MT-09, Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821, etc. The announcement marks a very aggressive product strategy by HD which will see it rivaling several other mainstream two wheeler makers from across the world. Suffice it to say that Harley Davidson is no longer just a cruiser maker!
