Haritha Haram programme: lacklustre response by minority institutions

Minority Welfare institutions are famous for their non-performance. Keeping with their tradition, lacklustre response was seen with respect to Haritha Haram programme of chief minister. Government had obligated all government institutions to join the programme and had also set a target of plantation for each institution on district level.

Haritha Haram action plan was also sent for Minority institutions but lacklustre performance was witnessed by Minority institutions since the programme began on July 8. Leave alone districts, minority institutions of the city didn’t even became active yet the first phase will end on July 20. It was announced to plant 100 saplings at Hajj House premises. Secretary Minority Welfare and other officials formally inaugurated the programme by planting one sapling each but after they left, the work came to stand still and all the remaining saplings still await plantation.
