Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today expressed displeasure at the officials for delay in Mission Kakatiya phase one and two works. Harish Rao asked to send proposals of Mission Kakatiya third phase works by February end and complete first phase works by February end and that of second phase by June.
At a video conference here he clarified that proposals come by Feb end will be included into third phase works and that come later will be included to MK fourth phase. He expressed discontent at the delay of Mission Kakatiya third phase works and warned of action for negligence. Harish sought to know as to why they delayed the works despite efforts by the government to complete on a war-footing. He appreciated SE Padma Rao of old Medak district for timely completion of the works. The minister directed the officials to give MK-3 proposals, tender details, works sanctioned and began and progress. He asked to record actual ayacut area under lakes and file tracking system in secretariat. Harish directed Special chief secretary SK Joshi to conduct a high level meeting of collectors and irrigation officials for relocalisation of MK works. (NSS)
