Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will be accompanying a Central team for Israel to study revolutionary policies in irrigation sector and practices using modern technology from December 30 to January 5.
According to a release, the minister will represent Telangana in the Centre team to be headed by Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi. Others to accompany the team include irrigation ministers of Chattisgarh and Maharastra Brijmohan Agarwal and Girish Dattatreya Mahajan respectively. Also OSD Amarjit Singh and Akhil Kumar joint secretary of central water resources ministry are in the high level team. The team will study on the latest trends in irrigation sector, practices and use of modern technology and return to India on January 5. (NSS)
