Harish ridicules Sonia remarks, Says KCR alone will develop TS

Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister T Harish Rao today ridiculed the Congress public meeting in Medchal on Friday addressed by UPA Chief Sonia Gandhi and AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi as a damp squib. He said Sonia Gandhi just read out the script written by TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who allegedly gave money to the Congress and had a say in distributing tickets. The Medchal meeting proved that only TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao alone was the saviour of Telangana as no other parties have any commitment towards its welfare and progress.

Talking to mediapersons at Addakula in Mahbubnagar district, along with MP Jithender Reddy and others, Harish Rao faulted that Rahul and TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy’s appealed to the leaders of Peoples’ Front (Cong, TD, TJS and CPI) to vote and support for the candidates of these parties. After that, one TD leader Sarotham joined the Congress party in Rahul’s presence which surprised many onlookers, he said. This incident of mockery took place when TD Telangana Chief L Ramana was sitting on the dais along with TJS chief Kodandaram, CPI Secretary Ch Venkat Reddy. The Kutami partners have ironically offered B-forms to their respective candidates for the same seat, he said.

This sort of politics will be rejected by the people as the Congress meeting sent wrong signals, he felt. He also took a dig at Sonia Gandhi for her remarks that KCR regime failed to meet the expectations of the people. “Our people are ready to reject the Kutami leaders as they cannot convince people with their false agendas and manifestos. We are opposing the remarks of Sonia Gandhi that the Congress on coming to power will offer separate status to AP.

This further enhanced the enthusiasm among the TRS activists for the polls. Both Telugu States need special status and Sonia failed to give such response by confining her talk to give it to only AP as it was denied by the BJP regime at the Centre. This has clarified that the Congress was not in favour of Telangana development and welfare, which is possible only by KCR and the TRS, he maintained.

Chandrababu Naidu wrote letters to the Centre against Telangana projects and now coming in the way of its progress in the guise of the elections. Though the TRS will retain power and complete the projects and turn Palamur another Konaseema of complete greenery with abundant waters in the reservoirs and projects, he said.
