Harish ridicules Jagan’s Jaladeeksha

Hyderabad:  Taking serious exception to YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy’ for beginning his three-day Jaladeeksha in Kurnool against Palamur- Ranga Reddy and Dindi projects in Telangana, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today flayed that the former is trying to hoodwink the people for political gain.

Talking to reporters during his Adilabad tour, Harish slammed that Jagan Reddy is stepping into his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy shoes who as Chief Minister of combined state diverted Telangana waters to Rayalaseema region. He warned of dire consequences of Manukota incident if Jagan Reddy failed to refrain from coming in the way of Telangana irrigation projects. “For selfish ends, the YCP chief is enacting dramas and efforts will sure boomerang”, the minister charged. Jagan Reddy will sure face the wrath of Telangana people for his conspiracy against the Telangana projects, an irate Harish said. Harish remarks came at a time when Jagan Reddy, during his Jaladeeksha, termed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as ‘Hitler’ by constructing irrigation projects illegally

The YSRCP president will face stiff opposition from farmers for coming in the way of our projects. We are committed to complete our projects as statehood is achieved for waters, jobs and funds. Though Karnataka and Maharashtra are extending support to irrigation and drinking water needs of Telangana neighbouring Andhra Pradesh leaders are spiking them he charged. KCR is committed for irrigating lands by completing projects and 51000 acres in Adialabad will get waters through completion of Chanaka- Korata project he added. (NSS)
