Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today reviewed the arrangements for chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to launch new districts from Siddipet. Along with MLC Faruq Hussain and CM’s OSD Deshapathi Srinivas, Harish Rao inspected the related works at Siddipet wherein KCR will formally inaugurate the district collector office, to mark formal launch of new districts across the state on Dasara festival day on October 11, at 11 am. He said that 30000 laddus will be distributed at 20 selected places, and 60000 balloons would be released to mark the occasion followed by cultural programs by 1000 artistes.
Harish said that KCR who earlier urged the then Chief Minister NT Rama Rao to make Siddipet a new district, is doing so now and it is a happy moment. He asked the officials to decorate the Collectorate for the occasion and also arrange cut-outs in various colours. (NSS)
