Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today directed Manik Raj, Rehabilitation Commissioner to submit a report within 15 days by looking into the alleged irregularities in the estimates of providing financial assistance to those who lost their houses under Jurala project submergence area in Nagar Doddi village under Dharur mandal of Mahbubnagar district.
Reacting to reports in a section of the media about the irregularities, the minister directed the Rehabilitation Commissioner to submit a factual report in two weeks. Reports alleged that politicians, officials, engineers and Revenue departments had conspired to loot public money and prepared estimates to do so.
The Minister also warned that stringent action would be taken against those involved in corrupt practices and irregularities. The government will take stern action against the delinquents on getting the report, he warned. Steps will be taken to see that the victims get justice with factual estimations. (NSS)
