Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao today expressed anguish and displeasure at contractors for delay in construction works of a bridge on Dundhubhi lake at Midjil Mandal of Mahabub Nagar district. Along with local leaders and officials, the Minister inspected the works which are going at snail pace. He pulled up the contractors warning that a new contractor will be appointed if there is no progress of the works.
The Government is according top priority for irrigation including that of medium and minor irrigation, he said. Keeping the priorities of the government in view, the contractors and officials should complete the works given on time else face action, he said.(NSS)
