Minister for Irrigaiton T Harish Rao today appreciated TRS legislator Marri Janardhan Reddy for conducting mass marriages at Zilla Parishad High School Grounds here. Along with ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Dr C Lakshma Reddy, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP Jithener Reddy and MLA Srinivas Goud, Harish Rao attended the mass marriages and blessed the couple.
On the occasion, he promised to extend Kalyana Lakshmi scheme to the newly married couples and also to implement all other government schemes for their welfare. Harish gave a pat to Janardhan Reddy for his dedication, efforts and patience to conduct such a great event to give support to the poor people to become couples by mass marriages. One has to follow our MLA who has great heart, he said. Harish Rao wished the couple to lead their lives with happiness and comfort. He said that he will make efforts to provide them monetary assistance through Kalyana Lakshmi scheme offering Rs 75,116 to the new couples and implement all other government schemes for their welfare.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is really a great man for offering financial assistance of Rs 75,116 to poor girls towards marriage in the state. Harish Rao also made an announcement that the government will distribute Kalayna Lakshmi cheques to the beneficiaries under this scheme from June 2, the Telangana formation day.(NSS)
