TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy alleged that Telangana State Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, who accorded tenders of the Telangana irrigation projects to Andhra Pradesh YSRCP MPs, and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was opposing the Telangana projects, were enacting dramas in the name of irrigation projects.
Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Monday, Revanth Reddy questioned Harish Rao, who warned Jagan saying that 1000 Jagans too will not stop Telangana irrigation projects, to tell as to why he accorded Telangana projects tenders worth Rs. 10,000 crore to Andhra YSRCP MPs.
Revanth also questioned Jagan, who was opposing Telangana irrigation projects, to tell as to why he allowed his MPs to take up the Telangana projects works and as to why he was not dismissing them from the party.
Stating that the Telangana people were observing everything, Revanth Reddy asked Jagan, who was screaming on the defections of his MLAs into TDP in the Andhra Pradesh, as to why he was maintained silence when his MLAs joined TRS party in Telangana. He said that Jagan was sending his third MLA Payam Venkateshwarlu to TRS party and more so Jagan himself was sending his lone Telangana MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy into TRS fold with hidden agenda.
Alleging that the TRS and YSRCP were hatching conspiracy to target the TTDP, Revanth Reddy reminded that Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof.Kodandaram, New Democracy leader Ninala Goverdhan and retired chief engineer V Hanumantha Rao pulled the TRS government showing its loopholes after the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s power point presentation in Legislative Assembly.
Alleging that KCR was telling cock and bull stories saying that he will supply irrigation water to one crore acre, Revanth Reddy said that the people of the Telangana didn’t forget laying of foundation stone to Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme two and half years ago assuring that water will be provided to 10 lakh acre land.
Reminding that Rs.11,000 crore were spent while laying foundation stones at seven places by former chief minister late YS Rajashekar Reddy, Revanth Reddy said that KCR was making hungama in the name of projects redesign again.
Wondering at the advertisements in newspapers on Kaleswaram project foundation stone laying program on Monday, Revanth Reddy lashed out at KCR and Harish Rao alleging that both were spending crores of rupees of public money on advertisements when the people were dying due to sun stroke. He stated that one should understand that there must be an ad-agencies scam, while seeing the advertisements published in 20 newspapers including Telugu, English and Urdu newspapers. “We are in Telangana state but the TRS government allocated advertisements to Andhra ad-agencies. KCR allocated ads to Andhra agencies only for commissions”, he alleged.
Revanth Reddy said that KCR held deliberations with Maharashtra government on irrigation projects while enjoying with ‘dawath’ at Maharashtra Governor’s residence in the night but the same KCR was not showing interest on deliberations with the Andhra Pradesh chief minister on irrigation projects. He said that he was ready to make the Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to give his appointment for the deliberations with KCR. (NSS)
