Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today slammed YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for writing a letter to Centre against Palamur and Dindi lift irrigation projects. Talking to reporters Rao criticized Jagan Reddy’s missive to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi to intervene and stall the works as Palamur scheme has no permissions from the centre.
Harish sough to know whether Jagan will oppose the orders issued by his father and the then chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Though YSR regime given permissions to Nakkalagandi project and now Jagan is opposing it without any knowledge he charged. Rao also expressed concern that injustice meted out to Telangana during YSR and Chandrababu governments. He found fault with Jagan Reddy for joining the chorus of the Andhra Pradesh Government objected to Palamur, Dindi schemes.
Referring to Revanth Reddy episode, he challenged Naidu to resign to the chief minister post if audio tapes prove his voice. Naidu should also reveal actual kingpin of the entire episode, and tell who spoke to MLA Elwis Stephenson, Harish demanded. The minister said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister should admit his mistake instead of doing so, Naidu is making a hue and cry of no use. The minister also said that Naidu should admit to his mistake if he cannot suspend Revanth Reddy from the party for cash for vote case. Stating that they are not afraid of ACB cases and will not go back, he alleged that Naidu is the main accused in the case and will face the punishment. (NSS)
