Hyderabad, July 12 (NSS): Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today criticized the Congress leaders for shedding “crocodile tears” with regard to Polavaram Bill. He alleged that the Centre passing Polavaram Bill amid protests was detrimental to Telangana State. If the Congress leaders have any commitment, they must stiffly oppose the bill in Rajya Sabha. He maintained that the TRS Government will move court for justice.
Earlier, he was in a review meeting on Adilabad Open Cast Victims with officials concerned here. Harish stated the government will resolve the issue soon. He directed the officials to initiate measures to constitute a committee of Revenue and Singareni officials to find an amicable solution. He said a decision has been taken to release Rs 120 cr to provide succor to Ellampally displaced people. The Government will take steps to provide total help to victims. Harish asked the officials to ensure that the victims get justice without any further delay. (NSS)
