Karachi : Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has warned his country not to hold high expectations from the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying that it will take some time to produce players with high calibre like Indian batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Despite having high expectation from the PSL, the 45-year-old insisted that it was not possible for the league to immediately churn out players of the class of certain players, like the Indian Premier League ( IPL) had produced for their national team.
Waqar urged his countrymen to remain patient for at least three to four years before expecting the PSL to turn the youngsters into players matching international standard, the Dawn reported
The coach, however, insisted that the players that had been picked for the upcoming Asia Cup and World T20 events should be given chances to play in the PSL. (ANI)
