Harassment of neo Muslim resolved by Minorities Commission

Mohammed Arshad, a neo Muslim resident of Yousufguda working in a private cable company was being harassed by his employer. He approached Minorities commission and submitted a detailed memorandum. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan Chairman, A.P. State Minorities Commission called the representatives of the cable company and resolved the issue. The management of the cable company agreed to pay a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh to Arshad.

Mr. Khan also told that on the complaint received by the innocent Muslim students who were implicated in false cases by the police during the communal riots occurred in 2010 in Musheerabad, DGP informed that he has sort the details from police commissioner and if these youths are found to be innocent, their case would be withdrawn. Mr. Khan also informed that the properties transferred on the basis of “hiba (gift)” need not be got registered by the Muslim owners. He is seeking the details from the registration department.
