A 28-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by her husband.
The victim, K. Purna @ Purnima, resorted to the extreme step by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Srisai Nagar Colony on January 11. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she died on Wednesday night. Medipally police have registered a case under Section 306 IPC against her husband Jayaram. Further investigations are on. (INN)
