President Jamat-e-Islami Hind Telangana Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan demanded CBI probe into illegal occupation on Waqf properties and immediate action on the cases registered during the period of Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal.
Congratulating Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the completion of two years of TRS government, Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan demanded fulfilment of promise made to minorities. He asserted that some promises may get into legal tangle or financial burden may be delayed but there are several promises which neither have legal tangle or financial burden. Chief Minister should immediately fulfill such promises.
Mr. Khan reminded that TRS had promised to conduct CBI probe into illegal occupation of Waqf properties but did not fulfill the promise even after two years. Similarly the promise to hand over Waqf properties and land to Waqf Board was included in TRS election manifesto but the same has not been fulfilled. Judicial powers to Waqf Board await GO orders. Government should provide judicial powers to Waqf Board because due to limitations of Waqf Board powers it fails to protect its properties.
