Hyderabadi Haleem which is popular not only in India but all over the world, is made of wheat, mutton, chicken, gram, pulses, curd, onions and vegetable oil with a sprinkling of spices. The demand for Haleem rises during Ramadan. Pista House and Shah Ghouse haleem is the gourmet’s delight. The demand of these two haleems rises to such an extent that you can see 80 to 100 waiters of Pista House and Shah Ghouse serving the people who swarm on the Tolichowki road in front of these two food joints, to buy a takeaway pack. Every Ramadan, they hire an army of cooks and prepares several tonnes of haleem every day.
