Hajj pilgrims will get Green category accommodation in Makkah al Mukarammah

Hyderabad, July 27: A high-power delegation of the Hajj Committee of India visited Saudi Arabia recently and finalized the accommodation in Green category in Makkah al Mukarammah.

AP State Hajj Committee chairman Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed, revealed that as the demand for the Green category accommodation exceeded the available accommodation, there is a shortfall of 8,000 units.

The Chairman said as against the demand of 60,000 units only 52,000 units could be available for the pilgrims under Green category. As per the decision of the Central Hajj Committee, these 52,000 units will be first allocated to the pilgrims of 70 years and their companions, while in the States where demand exceeds the availability, allotment will be made through computer based draw of lots to ensure transparency in the allotment process, which will be completed next week.

The remaining pilgrims as well as the pilgrims under waiting list or through any additional quota will be provided accommodation in Azeezia. The Chairman advised the pilgrims to check their allotment of accommodation category and make payment accordingly.
