Hajj pilgrims of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh may be deprived of journey through Saudi Airlines current year as Central Hajj Committee has finalised flights of Air India for the Hajj aspirants of both the states. Central Hajj Committee informed State Hajj about this.
Generally Air India flights are not considered convenient for Hajj aspirants compared to Saudi Airlines as several complaints are received about Air India services. Every year Central Hajj Committee makes contract with Saudi Airlines as Air India is unable to provide flights for journey of more than 1 lakh pilgrims at a time. Hence a lion’s share of flights goes to Saudi Airlines. But for Hajj 2015, Central Hajj Committee has finalised Air India flights from Hyderabad, Bangalore and New Delhi.
