Hajj Conference in New Delhi

(Siasat News) According to a press note issued from the office of Mr. K. Rahman Khan, former Chairman, Rajya Sabha, a one day Hajj conference will be organized from 10 a.m to 5 p.m tomorrow the 19th June 2012 at the Convention Hall of Ashok Hotel in New Delhi.

Discussions will be made on the arrangement to be made for the Haj pilgrims following the Malaysian Model of Haji Tabang.

This conference is being organized in collaboration with Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah Saudi Arabia and Tabang Haji of Malaysia.

President of Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali and the representatives of Tabang Haji will present Tabang Haji Model.

In the wake of the recent judgement of the Supreme Court of India, for gradual elimination of Hajj subsidy given to Hajj pilgrimage, this conference assumes importance.

In this context possibilities of establishing an institution similar to Tabang Haji in India and also for making Hajj pilgrimage comfortable and economical will be discussed. Long term plans for Hajj arrangements will also be discussed in the conference. The participants of the conference consist of Islamic Scholars, intellectuals, economists and organizers of Hajj pilgrimage.
