The probe into the embezzlement case 2001 of State Hajj committee has been intensified. Expediting the investigations Abids police summoned several present and former officials of Hajj committee and recorded their statements. Police team reached Hajj Committee office and reviewed all relevant files besides obtaining photo copies of them.
Commissioner Minority Welfare Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal who is taking special interest into the probe of the scam got appraisal from the concerned police officials regarding the progress of the case.
It must be recalled that chief executive officer Hajj Committee M A Hameed had lodged complaint of embezzlement against Muneeruddin Ahmed Mukhtar who worked in Hajj Committee as member and coordinator in 2001.
