Andhra Pradesh has been alloted a quota of 5764 pilgrims for the 2012 Haj by the haj Committee of India. Andhra Pradesh Haj Committee Executive Officer Abdul Hameed said in a release here that 1418 pilgrims have alrady been selected under two reerve categories of 70 plus years and 4th time applicants.
The draw will be hled on May 10 for the remaining 4346 pilgrims, he said. Meawhile, the Haj Committee has requested applicants who did not obtained their cover numbers to contact the Haj committee office or on phone No 040-23298793 during the office hours. The applicants can also obtain their cover number on the Haj Committee of India website www.hajcommittee.com under pilgrims information by entering their passport number, the release added. UNI
