Hyderabad, February 27: Central Hajj Committee has issued notification for Hajj 2011. According to the notification issuing of forms will begin from March 16, 2011 while the last date for submission will be April 30. Rules and regulations for the Hajj 2011 have been finalized in the Central Hajj Committee meeting held at New Delhi.
Mr. Shakir Husain talking to Siasat special correspondent said that the selection of Hajj aspirants will be done on the basis of one form, one lot and one waiting list. He told that the intending pilgrims need to enclose copy of international passport along with the form. If the passport is not ready then at the time of submission of form the receipt of application of passport should be enclosed with.
Mr. Shakir Hussain informed that the intending Hajj pilgrims will have to submit form depositing an amount of 200 along with it. He also told that the aspirants rejected for the three consecutive years will be selected this year. Apart from that those whose selection was confirmed last year but were unable to perform Hajj due to some other reasons particularly unavailability of passport will be provided an opportunity for Hajj 2011.
According to Mr. Shakir Hussain those who performed Hajj during 2006-2010 are prohibited to submit application.
Hajj aspirants selected through lots shall have to submit their passports to Hajj committee before June 15. An amount of 31000 rupees will be collected from the selected aspirants as primary installment.
Hajj Committee has directed the applicants to write two functional cell phone numbers so that they may be provided details regarding their applications through SMSs.
Intending Hajj pilgrims can download application forms from the committee’s website www.hajcommittee.com after March 16.
Hajj pilgrims are divided in three categories this year too. The categories are Green, White and Azizia. Those who apply in Green category will be provided accommodation within 1200 meter distance, while white category aspirants will be provided accommodation within the distance of 1201 to 2000 meters. Those who intend to travel in Azizia category will have to stay at Azizia.
