Hajis arrive to rousing reception by Dy CM

The first batch of 350 Haj pilgrims of the State was given a rousing reception at the Haj Terminal of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Monday afternoon on their arrival from Madeenah Al-Munnawarah KSA after performance of Haj.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali received the pilgrims on the tarmac of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. As many as 6,043 pilgrims had left from the Hyderabad Embarkation point this year including 3,920 from Telangana, 1376 from Andhra Pradesh and 739 from neighboring districts of Karnataka through 18 Haj flights. The last flight will arrive on 3rd November.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Ali congratulated the pilgrims on their successful Haj and convenient journey and said that the Haj Committee made impressive arrangements. He promised to make more effective arrangements next year onwards and said that the issue of Rubaat has been sorted out in his recent visit to the Saudi Arabia. He said that he himself performed the Haj this year and personally reviewed the arrangements made for the convenience of the pilgrims of the State. He said that medical facilities were provided to the pilgrims in KSA. At the Haj Terminal he handed over the Zam Zam cans to the pilgrims.

Higher officials of various departments supervised the arrangements. (INN)
