Mumbai, October 22: At least 85 Haj pilgrims were stranded at the International airport for more than 10 hours yesterday, as flight arrangements were inadequate, alleged the pilgrims.
Pilgrims claim that their flight, which was scheduled for 2.40 pm, finally took off at 1 am, after the initial flight could not accommodate all the passengers.
“My parents were stranded at the airport. The authorities too did not provide them with a clear picture,” said Ashriya Kazi. She said that the carrier that had arrived was smaller, which led to the confusion.
The Haj committee members too did not intervene, Kazi alleged.
