A Haj pilgrim from Madannapet, Hyderabad, Khaja Ali (65), expired on Sunday in the Makkah Mukarama. He complained of chest pain in the morning and was taken to the clinic where he had a massive heart attack upon which he was being shifted to the Indian Mission Hospital in Makkah. However, he took his last breath on the way to the hospital.
Khaja Ali had left for Jeddah on September 28 along with his wife Shahensha Raunaq Jahan, sister in-law and her husband Abdul Sattar.
On information, Special Officer AP State Haj Committee Prof. S. A. Shukoor and Executive Officer Abdul Hameed contacted the Indian Mission in Makkah, Khadim-ul-Hujjaj and his relatives in Makkah. Indian Mission and the Khadim-ul-Hujjaj provided necessary assistance to the bereaved family members. Last rites and funeral will be performed in the evening today in Makkah.
Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmadullah and SHC officials condoled the death of the pilgrim and expressed their sympathies to the bereaved family in Hyderabad. (INN)
