Haj House turned into a Monkey House

Hyderabad, April 10 (Siasat News): It was the fate of the minority institutions in the state that they are being run even without financial aid of the government despite various promises, the finances never released on time.

Now, the financial problem is turned into a problem, which no one could have imagined! The most important minority institution i.e. Haj House is ‘infested’ with stray monkeys causing havoc not only to the office bearers but also the visitors.

Earlier, these monkeys were sighted outside the building but now invaded the building.

Today, a group of stray monkeys created havoc on the staircase of the building but no one came forward to help those who were in trouble. At one moment, the situation turned so funny and the horrible as well. Monkeys entered the lift and all the passengers inside it, were panicked and came out immediately.

It is said that these stray monkeys are found in many parts of the city of late. Normally, monkeys avoid roaming at public places but if stray dogs and monkeys are found at public places, the civic authority is held responsible for such havoc and should take concrete steps to drive them out.

Earlier, stray monkeys were a regular sight at OU campus and Women’s College. It seems that they have changed their route.

The records of AP State Wakf Board are at stake and in jeopardy because of the presence of these monkeys as some most of the doors of the offices remained open and even some corridors leading to different offices, kept close with the help of chairs and tables.

It is high time that the GHMC take concrete action to get the Haj House vacated from stray monkeys as this building has a mosque on the ground floor. It is also the responsibility of the officials of the AP State Wakf Board to draw the attention of concerned authorities of GHMC towards this mess.
