Hafeez’s bowling future in shambles after visa denial

Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez may not be able to visit Chennai for the test regarding the clearance of his suspect bowling action as the Indian high Commissioner in Colombo has not yet issued him a visa.

The former national T20 skipper is facing a one-year suspension from bowling as he has been reported for the second time for his suspect bowling action in the first Test at Galle in Sri lanka.

Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB) spokesperson Shahryar Khan said that Hafeez would hopefully be able to get a visa in a couple of days so that he can appear at the biomechanics lab before the July 4 deadline.

Khan, however, insisted that the board would seek permission from the ICC to extend the deadline for Hafeez as the circumstances were beyond his control, the Dawn reported.

Meanwhile, the batting all-rounder, who is scheduled to leave for Chennai from the Sri Lankan capital, will be staying there before getting the Indian visa at the same city. (ANI)
