New Delhi, July 28: With 29 students having been confirmed with the H1N1 virus till date and even more asked to stay home, several city schools are taking different steps to make up for the lost working days.
Springdales School, Pusa Road, has prepared programme lessons for students quarantined at home, principal Amita Wattal said. “We don’t want students to suffer,” she said, “so we have created programme lessons for them.”
Students at Shri Ram School, meanwhile, might have to put in extra hours to make up for the lost time. Principal Sudha Sahai said, “We will hold a meeting with our team on whether we should hold classes on Saturdays (in August) to compensate for the lost working days.”
St Thomas School, Mandir Marg, has put up circulars about swine flu on the school’s website. The circulars give a Dos-and-Don’ts list and also have phone numbers of doctors to be consulted in case a child displays swine flu-like symptoms.
Shri Ram and Springdales schools were, meanwhile, fumigated on on Monday.
